Corporate Teambuilding
Bring your group together with us.

Step out of the office and into nature.
Set within our ancient Wealden woodland in Hellingly — and available at venues across the South East — Wild Weald offers immersive team experiences that reconnect people with traditional skills, shared creativity and purposeful collaboration. These are sessions that slow the pace, sharpen focus and bring colleagues together through practical, hands‑on experiences.
Your team will create, build and share. From shaping clay in Wild Pottery to managing a charcoal burn, from crafting bread over open flames to exploring the living science of fermentation and cheesemaking, every activity draws on authentic woodland practices once used by communities across Sussex.
Designed for corporate groups, our formats blend shared challenges with quiet achievements and moments of genuine connection. They encourage communication, problem‑solving and a welcome reset through working with natural materials and heritage techniques.
Whether you’re looking to reward your team, spark creativity, strengthen bonds, or assist wellbeing, our experiences offer something memorable, meaningful and refreshingly different — in the woods or at a venue that suits your event.
The Service
Each event is structured and hosted by Francis and Pam Gimblett, drawing on 26 years of experience at Taste of the Vine. Many sessions are co‑hosted with Wealden artisans who bring specialist skills they are keen to pass on.
We provide everything needed for your day, including on‑site catering from our own kitchen, with dishes made from farm‑grown and locally sourced produce. If you’re not joining us in the woodland, we can help secure a suitable venue across the South East and arrange trusted accommodation options.
Every event is fully curated to your team’s aims — from the format to the flow of the day — ensuring a thoughtful, well‑supported experience from start to finish.
"The team at Lawson Queay joined Francis and Pam for a Company Away Day, swapping our PCs for the Wild Weald.
We thoroughly enjoyed a morning of making clay pots, followed by the most delicious of lunch using locally sourced and home grown produce. After Pam's superb lunch, we tackled mozzarella and flatbread making.
Each and every one of us came away with a new skill. We look forward to returning and trying some of the other activities offered at Wild Weald."
Jackie Hazelden, Lawson Queay
