Create a unique woodland wreath using foraged materials, willow craft and natural decoration techniques. Your team will learn how to build beautiful wreaths time and again from nature — a day of foraging, food, creativity and shared inspiration.
About the event

Wild Wreathmaking is a joyful, team experience that blends foraging, willow work and natural craft in the calm of ancient woodland. Drawing on Pam and Francis Gimblett’s 30 years of hosting interactive, high‑engagement events, the day combines practical skills, woodland knowledge and creative expression in a format suited to all abilities.
The session begins with an introduction from Amy and Pam, our wreath‑masters, who share guidance on suitable plants, textures and forms for wreathmaking. Participants then head out on a morning forage through the woodland, gathering colours, shapes and materials that will form the basis of their own unique wreaths.
Returning to the woodshed — snug with its woodburner — the group builds a willow former and layers moss to create the base on which their foraged materials will be arranged. Throughout the process, participants learn principles of wreath structure, drying techniques, plant usage and the historical roots of decoration.
Interspersed through the day are ideas for decorating Christmas trees naturally, avoiding resource‑heavy materials. Participants explore how to dehydrate and press foraged ornaments, gaining inspiration for creating sustainable, distinctive decorations at home.
The woodland setting, combined with expert guidance and shared creativity, makes Wild Wreathmaking a refreshing, collaborative experience. Delivered as a half‑day or full‑day programme, it offers teams a chance to slow down, connect and leave with both a finished wreath and the confidence to create their own year after year.
Your objectives

Connection: Emphasise shared foraging, collaborative making and informal woodland time to strengthen rapport, trust and team cohesion.
Respite: Lean into the calming rhythm of natural craft and creativity to offer a restorative pause that reduces cognitive load and supports wellbeing.

"Oh my, just done a wild wreath making day, it absolutely poured down with rain BUT I have never felt happier, I have a hectic life, was feeling incredibly stressed and not myself, so booked a day away from it all and headed to the forest. And it was calm, peaceful, the hosts were amazing, the ladies in the group were delightful and I left with a stunning wreath. I was calm, fulfilled and feeling myself again! I can’t praise it highly enough! I can wait to go again!!" Tracy (Funkee) Google Review.
"Had the most glorious day here, even though it rained and was muddy (I wore wellies) the welcome couldn’t have been warmer. Knowledgeable hosts, passionate about their woods, wholesome foods and drinks. I came away, cold and damp but very very happy with a beautiful wreath and a knackered whippet! If you like an uncommercial vibe, then this is for you. I can’t wait for the next event." Julia Dunk. Google Review.
