Corporate Teambuilding
Bring your group together with us.

Step out of the office and into the woods.
Nestled in an ancient Wealden woodland, our venue in Hellingly offers a rare kind of team experience — immersive sessions that reconnect teams with the skills, rhythms, and ingenuity of the past while strengthening collaboration in the present.
Your team will create, build, and share. From shaping clay in Wild Pottery to managing a charcoal burn, from crafting bread over open flames to exploring the living science of fermentation and cheesemaking, every activity is grounded in authentic historical practices once used by woodland communities across Sussex.
Designed for corporate groups of up to 20 people, the formats offer something for every personality and pace. They’re shared challenges, quiet achievements, and moments of genuine connection — where colleagues communicate differently, solve problems together, and rediscover the value of slowing down and working with their hands.
Whether you’re looking to reward your team, spark creativity, or strengthen bonds, our woodland experiences offer something memorable, meaningful, and refreshingly different.
What you can expect:
• Fully facilitated, hands-on sessions rooted in historical woodland crafts
• A peaceful, natural setting away from everyday distractions
• Activities designed to encourage teamwork, communication, and creativity
• Flexible programming tailored to your team’s goals
• Lunches, dinners and refreshments
The Service
Each event is structured and hosted by Francis and Pam Gimblett, drawing on 26 years' experience at Taste of the Vine. They are sometimes co-hosted with Wealden artisans using skills they are keen to pass on.
We have a kitchen providing refreshments and lunches comprising dishes using farm-grown and locally sourced produce.
See the event types page for an idea of the formats we can offer, and get in contact with Francis to prepare a proposal for your team’s event.
"The team at Lawson Queay joined Francis and Pam for a Company Away Day, swapping our PCs for the Wild Weald.
We thoroughly enjoyed a morning of making clay pots, followed by the most delicious of lunch using locally sourced and home grown produce. After Pam's superb lunch, we tackled mozzarella and flatbread making.
Each and every one of us came away with a new skill. We look forward to returning and trying some of the other activities offered at Wild Weald."
Jackie Hazelden, Lawson Queay
