Wild Weald Tasting Dinner

This is an exploration of the Weald's finest sparkling and still wines, and artisan cheeses.

The tasting is run by Francis and includes plenty of interaction and entertainment, with a level of local storytelling that brings the region to life through its tastes. Follow the link to find out more about Pam and Francis' other venture, Taste of the Vine.

You will be given a set of skills at the outset – pointers on how to spot elements within the cheeses and wines (such as: milk types, cheese age, and methods of production for cheeses; grape type, age and quality for sparkling wines, etc.) before competing in a range of tasting rounds. In between rounds, Francis will entertain with anecdotes, quick-fire quizzes, and stories from over twenty five years of presenting and making fermented food and drink.

This ticket includes eight tasting samples of wine, eight tasting samples of cheese and artisan bread. This will be followed by a selection of charcuterie, salads and even more local cheese, with vegan options. Wine quantities amount to 1/2 bottle per person. More wine will be available for purchase.
